Online Survey

Dear Local Resident

I am pleased to update you on issues important to our community. Below is a survey for you to have a say on key issues. I encourage you to take the time to complete it and send it through – your feedback is much appreciated!

Local Schools Update

  • Tenders have been called for the major upgrades at Willoughby Public and Willoughby Girls High School. The upgrades are due to be completed early 2020.
  • Works for the new Cammeraygal High School Senior campus at Crows Nest are underway and expected to be completed early 2019.

  • Work is underway on the site of the former UTS Ku-ring-gai campus. The new school will open in stages starting with Year K-10 in the first term of 2019, and 11-12 in 2020.

  • I am delighted to annouce that the redevelopment of Chatswood Public School and Chatswood High School will deliver a new education precinct, with further details to be provided soon.

  • In April the Artarmon Public School community celebrated the opening of its new classrooms, library and playground space. The final stages of the development, including a new multipurpose hall, are due for completion early 2019.

  • An additional school safety zone has been installed at Ernest Street Cammeray to improve pedestrian safety in the vicinity of the new Anzac Park Public School.

Northern Beaches Link

The final alignment of this important project is yet to be determined. Rest assured that nothing will be finalised until there is extensive community consultation. I will always be the strongest advocate for our community.

Metro Rail Update

  • The planning process for the metro station development at Crows Nest will start later this year, including the chance to provide feedback.
  • When the North-west metro opens next year at Chatswood, customers will have a service every four minutes in the peak. However, from 30 September 2018 (for up to seven months), a turn-up-and-go station link bus service will operate while the existing suburban rail line is being upgraded. We will try to minimise disruption as much as possible during the temporary closure of this line.

Please do not hesitate to contact me if I can be of assisstance to you in relation to any State Government matter.

Yours faithfully,

Gladys Berejiklina MP
